This is an BETA-test release of MacGofer. Please read the
main documentation (Gofer Documentation:MacGofer ∂) and take sensible precautions before using MacGofer. The documentation
is in a self-loading “PostCard” format, so you don't need to have
a word processor available.
If you've used Gofer before, you should find this version is much
more stable than earlier versions. I've finally tracked down the last (I hope!) problem caused by the original Gofer garbage collector. There is one known remaining “crash”-style bug,
to do with stack overflow during evaluation. I haven't had time
yet to work out how the critter got past my stack check
defences. This is documented.
Please report problems/suggestions to me (kh@dcs.glasgow.ac.uk)
— there's a bug report form in the documentation, which you can
save or print.
Above all, have fun!
Kevin Hammond @ 11/11/92
